Study of sports Facilities of Secondary Schools of Butwal sub -Metropolitan City of Nepal

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the sports facility, preparedness of sports activities and perception of professional planning development for sports person. There are 95 Schools in the Butwal Sub-Metropolitan city. Naharpur Secondary school and Butwal Glory English Boarding Secondary School were selected randomly for the Case study of Sports facilities. Private schools have found less land occupancy and Public schools is having comparatively more land for sports activities. In terms of perception both schools believed the sports should be developed properly, 81 percent viewed sports could be developed as a career for the students. Both the school do not have facilities to motivate students in water-related sports, these should be developed properly even in a joint venture between schools and the local government since the quality of the school depends on the leadership of the local government.
